THURSDAY APRIL 1st = 6PM – SINGLES COMPETITION FOR ALL DIVISIONS BEGINS

FRIDAY APRIL 2nd = 10AM – SINGLES COMPETITION CONTINUES

FRIDAY APRIL 2nd = 7PM – TEAMS COMPETITION FOR ALL DIVISIONS BEGINS

SATURDAY APRIL 3th = 10AM – TEAMS COMPETITIONS CONTINUE

SUNDAY APRIL 4th = 10AM – TEAM COMPETITION FINALS & COMPLETION OF EVENT

DIVISION INFORMATION FOR SML “SPRING BREAK ”

We are providing this information to teams so that you know what SOME of the criteria is that we look at when making sure that you are entered into the correct division. The information is listed in Team and singles categories and are “GENERAL GUIDELINES” that we will be using to assist us with determining where you/your team fit in for the “SPRING BREAK” tournament.

SML reserves the right to rank players & teams as we deem fit for purposes of this event.

SML “SPRING BREAK” GENERAL INFORMATION

  • VNEA rules will apply (Patch is required on the 8 ball, “new” 8 ball scratch is not a loss rule will apply)
  • RACK YOUR OWN format will apply
  • NO ‘on-site’ entries will be accepted for the TEAM or SINGLES portion of this event
  • ENTRY DEADLINES are firm. It is the player’s responsibility to ensure that the entry is received in our office no later than 4pm on the date of the entry deadline. No entries will be accepted for ANY reason after the deadlines have passed. Players may not “sell”, “transfer”, or “give” their entry spot to another party once they have entered
  • NO refunds of any kind should a player or team be not able to attend
  • NO entries will be accepted without PAYMENT IN FULL @ time of entry. Captains are responsible for collecting all monies from their players PRIOR to entering & ensuring that payment in full is made at time of entry
  • COMPLETED “SPRING BREAK” ENTRY FORM must accompany payment for entry to be accepted
  • General “start times” are provided in this information. PHONE calls pertaining to the “exact start time” for your team or singles match will not be accepted. Players / Teams should be present and ready to play at least 15 minutes prior to any scheduled matches. There is NO GRACE PERIOD, matches must start at the scheduled time
  • PLAYERS must be at least 18 years of age to enter this event as per VNEA guidelines. Due to our licensing for this event, there will be no one UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE allowed on the TOURNAMENT FLOOR AT ANY TIME (no children are allowed)
  • SMOKING in designated areas only. The Olympic Oval is a non-smoking facility. Parties that are caught smoking inside the Olympic Oval (including washrooms) or any other non smoking areas will be subject to being charged & fined under the City of Calgary No Smoking bylaws & will be expelled from the event.
  • TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR reserves the right to expel ANY person or team who is conducting themselves in an unsportsmanlike or inappropriate manner. There will be no refund of entry fees for anyone who is disqualified & removed from this event.
  • ALL players MUST have picture identification on them at all times when on the tournament floor. Parties who do not have picture identification are not eligible to be on the tournament floor at any time
  • TEAMS must have 2 (two) original players with the remainder being from anywhere in SML. (“original players” is defined as people who have played this season on the same team for at least 8 full league nights)
